Carpe Diem! Bug and Bean Photography grew out of our love for our biggest inspiration, our kids. Our work is a blend of the organic family dynamic coupled with light, color, form and perspective. We are inspired by parenthood, beautiful design, architecture, simple living and the wonder of childhood and love.
NANCY…? I’m the lady that comes to your house and gets to hang out and make beautiful photos. What else can I say? I love what I do and I’m lucky to be able to do it. I’m a dreamer. I find beauty in everything I see. Family makes me happy, yours and mine. I’m obssesed with word games like scrabble and I’m a vegetarian that loves carbs.
MICHAEL is the quiet strength that keeps things runnning smoothly. He makes me laugh every day. He is smart and witty and the highlight of my day. He puts up with me, and that is a lot!
BUG is the most kind hearted child. She is a dreamer and has wild teeth and slouches like her mother. She is the bibliophile of the family and has a freakishly brilliant memory. She is the glue.
BEAN is the curious determined one of the family. He has the softest ears and favors his middle toe. He loves his mama and his daddy is his hero. There are big plans in his future.
BUBBA is the culinary expert of the family. She is part bubbly, part sweet and a lot of spunky. She is an excellent songwriter, sings perfectly off key and is an amazing artist. She is our free spirit.
BEAR is our ray of light. We are still trying to figure out if he is more of a ray of sunshine or a ray of laser beam, nonetheless he is the happiness maker of the family. He is silly and funny, sweet and sour, and has a way of making you feel like a million bucks. He gets the award for best dancer and most unruly hair.
