a true treasury

some images are made to be enlarged and showcased on your walls, but one of our favorite things to do as a family is to look back on family albums. we love mixing and matching colors and textures.

It’s hard to believe that we are already one week into October. The holiday’s are just around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about those holiday cards! In years past, I have enjoyed working with clients to create custom designed cards. While I love designing, this year we are pleased to be working with the good people over at Minted. We have hand picked some of our favorite designs which can be found at our Minted Storefront here.

Minted is a San Francisco based online store that offers fresh and modern holiday cards and birth announcements. They work with some of the most talented independent designers out there to bring you a wide selection of cards  sure to compliment your family photographs and personal design aesthetic. I am such a fan of their simple clean designs and pops of bold color.

Minted is currently offering a fantastic promotion for 20% off all Holiday Photo Cards through Monday, October 11th. You can even buy now and send in your photos later!! How awesome is that?? Please be sure to place your order through the Bug and Bean Minted Storefront. Fancy a design that is not included in our storefront? Please let us know and we will be sure to add it!

Holiday cards don’t have to be stressful!

“Eventually everything connects – people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality.”
-Charles Eames

Fascinating little creatures, aren’t they? These adorable elephants were originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945 but never made it into mass production until 2007 when Vitra launched a limited edition of the Plywood Elephant in honor of the 100th birthday of Charles Eames. The following year, these beauties were put into production once again, but this time in a more affordable  polypropylene version. 4 in red, please!

To further commemorate Eames’ 100th birthday and the elephant’s release, Eames Demetrios, the grandson of Charles Eames created a stop-motion animated film featuring the elephants. My kids truly enjoy this charming film!
