Do you ever wonder if the people you see on reality shows are anything like their tv personas? I first met Bill Horn and Scout Masterson aka The Guncles of Tori and Dean’s Home Sweet Hollywood at a baby event in Los Angeles and they were just as warm and friendly as I had imagined they would be. Shortly after meeting, I was so happy to hear that they had welcomed into their family a sweet baby girl named, Simone. Recently, I had the honor of spending the afternoon at their home photographing Simone (9 months) with her daddies. Bill and Scout were so nice and down to earth helping to quickly calm my nerves. Simone had the sweetest disposition and the most pinchable muffin cheeks. Together they make a beautiful family. It was obvious from start to finish how enamored they were with each other. Ain’t love grand?

Somehow the stars aligned for this incredible maternity session in Playa Del Rey. Between our two busy schedules and several rounds of phone tag, we didn’t have a chance to discuss wardrobe, time, location, anything really. Yet somehow it all came together. The weather was perfect and mom-to-be was all aglow. Thank you for the fun and relaxing evening. Can’t wait to meet your baby girl!

Boston via Los Angeles | Ethan’s 1st Birthday | Los Angeles Family Photographer

This adorable family traveled all the way from Boston to celebrate Ethan’s 1st Birthday with family and friends in Los Angeles. I always feel so lucky when I am asked to document such a joyous celebration. We spent the morning hanging out at grandma and grandpa’s house and then headed out for some outdoor warmth and sun. Ethan was such a happy and curious little guy and all around cutie pie. He definitely gets the award for coolest hair. I don’t know how I always get the nicest most laid back families to work with-knock on wood! And doesn’t mama look chic in her little black dress and fabulous shoes? I love basics paired with pops of fun color!! Thanks for hanging out with us!

Charming Charlie | Huntington Library | Los Angeles Family Photographer

Mike and I were lucky enough to photograph two wonderful families during our little March Los Angeles getaway weekend. This first family had been in touch with me for family photos way back in 2008. I was so happy when we finally managed to coordinate a session together this year! The Huntington Library and Botanical Garden in Pasadena was just stunning and the family was so fun and easy to work with-the kind of people you just want to hang out with all day. Charlie was just the sweetest and most charming little almost 2 year old you could ever be around and his vocabulary was out of this world! Thanks for the for the fun day!
